Bobcat Radio

Hallsville Bobcat Radio is a non-profit project owned by Hallsville Independent School District and managed by the Hallsville ISD Technology department. Bobcat Radio hosts a veritable plethora of entertainment including Hallsville ISD sporting events, news from around the Hallsville area, public domain music from the Public Domain Project and original music from local and indie artists.

We would like to thank the many open source projects that make this station possible including: The Apache HTTP Server Project, Sourcefabric Airtime, Debian Project, Icecast streaming media server, and GetSimple CMS to name a few. 

Programming is scheduled and maintained using Sourcefabric Airtime and is simulcast to RF/FM (104.9 MHz) and via the Internet as an Icecast stream in MP3 format at 256kbps (stereo). Bobcat Radio is listed in the XIPH, Streamfinder, Internet Radio, and Streema directories, and is also available in an HTML5 stream player.

Artist pictures, biographies, and discographies for metadata, tagging (ID3), and Bobcat Radio Icecast stream data is powered by the Last.fm API.
